But why do we worship loser Lord Ram?

Before analyzing why do we worship the most-failure character of Hindu God Lord Ram, we should dive deep into a series of incidents that occurred in the life-time of Lord Ram.

According to the ancient Sanatan dharma, Lord Ram was referred to as the Seventh Avatar of Hindu God Vishnu. The birth of Lord Ram’s date backs to 5114 years ago before the birth of Jesus Christ. Often encountered in Vana Purana, Ramayana & Mahabharat. Lord Ram is also recognized by some Buddhists to be an avatar of Buddha, and sculptures of Lord Ram(Guru/God) sometimes resemble the outside of Buddhist temples(Monastery).

Ram’s father is King Dasarath, King of Ayodhya (solar race), and his mother is Queen Kausalya. The God Vishnu responded to the spirits call and emerged in a sacrificial fire made by King Dasarath. The pious king was given a pot of nectar, and he gave half of it to his first wife Kausalya, who produced half-divine Lord Ram as a result. Lord Ram had three half-brothers – Bharat, Lakshman, and Shatrughn all with some, though lesser, spiritual qualities. Ram’s favorite and an all-embracing brother was Laksman, son of Sumitra, the step-mother of Lord Ram.

Lord Ram’s succession to the throne of Ayodhya was made difficult by his mother’s cripple worker Manthara. Jealous of Ram, she spoiled the mind of Kaikeyi, Dasarath’s second wife, and convinced her to persuade her husband to instead make Bharata heir to the throne. On top of this slight, Ram was exiled from the kingdom for 14 years followed by Sita and his ever-faithful brother Laksmana, Lord Ram went to live in the far south in Citrakuta, deep in the Dandaka forest, present-day Madhya Pradesh district Satna.

Ram did not stay still in the remainder of his exile but visited many sages. Ultimately, he ended up at Pancavati near the river Godavari, an area tormented by demons. One, in circumstantial, Surpanakha, the sister of Ravana, fell in love with Ram, and when her proposals were opposed, she attacked Sita in revenge. Laksmana was the first to react and cut off the ears and nose of Surpanakha. Surpanakha was not finished with the matter and she influenced Ravana that Sita was a girl worth fighting for.

Hence, the demon king sought out Ram’s home, and while Ram was distracted in the hunt for a deer (who was actually Ravana’s magician Maricha in the costume of deer), abducted Sita, taking her back to Golden Kingdom Lanka in his flying chariot(vehicle) to be kept imprisoned in his wonderful Ashoka garden.

The series of enormous battles between Ram’s forces and the demons followed, but eventually, Ravan was killed, Lanka fell to Ram’s army, and Ram was reunited with his wife. Rama was entirely assured that his wife had remained loyal to him during her abduction, but the peoples around blamed Sita’s determination & asked her to prove her reputation by a test of fire, indeed the divine fire of Agni (Some kind of DNA Testing done in modern-world). Escaping the flames unharmed, Peoples realized they had misjudged Sita, and the couple headed back for Ayodhya, but Sita didn’t felt satisfied with the decision of loyalty questioning & leaves Ayodhya to Valmiki (Who was once a Dangerous Thug & later becomes Saint with long meditation) Ashrama to give birth to her twin’s kid. Still declaring her innocence, Sita now asserts her power on the earth itself which then immediately consumes her by opening beneath her feet.

This was the total chaos & failure story of Lord Ram, But Why still after thousands & thousands of years, people come in millions & billions to worship lord Ram? Despite Lord Ram’s life was a total failure & some of the scholars even regard him as a total loser of his era or time.

Why do we still worship total failure & looser God(Master/Guru), Lord Ram? What does Ram teach us mankind in the end?

We don’t bow down to Lord Ram, just because someone wrote down that he was the Avatar of Lord Vishnu. Neither we worship Lord Ram for some supernatural power or materialistic desires.

“Lord Ram Holding the Crown Prince of Ayodhya, his smaller brother was given the Royal Throne to rule, Despite being the most Novel (Good-Hearted) person his step-mother(Kaikeyi) tricks him to stay in exile in a dark & dangerous jungle for 14 years, with his just newly married young wife. Although being the most skilled warrior in archery, his young & beautiful wife gets kidnapped by most-feared Demon King Ravan. After returning from exile’s entire people’s of his Kingdom blame’s Lord Ram, that his wife(Sita) doesn’t hold a biological child of their bloodline. And resulting Mata Sita to leave Ram & continues to Valmiki Ashram to give birth to her children.”

“Peoples bow down to Lord Ram, that despite being a total failure, he didn’t lose his compassion towards others. Lord Ram bows down to demon King Ravan for killing him at the end & ask his brother Lakshman to get some schoolings from Demon King Ravan. Who does that?? Despite being in total misery he never loses his patience towards this Chaos life. Never let others down, never ever even let his people of Kingdom down, though misery tortured him each every time & again totally tries to regain his consciousness in peace as he does his Karma.”

Today, more than 80 crores people worldwide bow downs to lord Ram because he taught us that even though life treats us hard, we should always try to stay calm & learn to overcome our failures. We bow down to Lord Ram to gain motivation from his actions to overcome this misery of our lives.
