Chief Minister Dor Mani Poudel Sacked Minister Keshab Sthapit and took the Ministry responsibility on himself. Last Wednesday on the Cabinet CM Poudel and Minister Sthapit had disputes and today was the outcome – SACKED.
Minister Keshab Sthapit was very straight forward person. He just speaks whatever is in his mind, regardless of anything. This could be understand clearly when he spoke his deed to spray red color on the then recently widowed and current President of Nepal, Hon. Bidhya Devi Bhandari as an Election Strategy.
After he was sacked I looked into several media and look into the cause for his sack and to my surprise it was so unacceptable.
He scolded CM and other ministers badly using the bad languages and not using the courtesy that a Minister should use to another minister and CM. CM did not spoke then and came directly to Kathmandu with Provincial Law Minister Kailash Dhungel,who is MLA from Ramechhap, to talk to PM and other Leaders regarding this issue and took the action. The usage of bad language started after the Cabinet pointed about zero progress on Physical Infrastructure and Development Ministry which he was looking after.
While this action is a first of its kind in this new Government but has set a milestone to other ministers and Assembly Members to use courtesy language to the co workers and the seniors.
#MeToo Revealed
Another finding was that he was in the Sexual Harassment Viral hashtag #Metoo . While he was mayor of Kathmandu the then employee Rasmila Prajapati and another one reporter Ujwala Maharjan had complaint him for sexual harassment. He defended to go to court if necessary.
